The Artist Alliance of Brazoria County Makes a Splash

The Artist Alliance of Brazoria County lets their creativity flow into everything they do, and Wild Peach Market was able to get a glimpse of that at our Art Swap and Pet Adoption Market! We were so honored to host their group and hope to have them back in the future! The Alliance has so many useful resources for our community, and their commitment proves that love for the arts won’t ever fade.

The Artist Alliance of Brazoria County isn’t just for crafts and painting events, it's a safe haven for creatives, offering a space of relaxation, artistry and community. Offering Art Therapy, Art Lessons and fun, engaging events led by each Artist Alliance member, the group’s heart is for their family they call Brazoria County and beyond. There isn’t ever a dull moment with the Alliance!

During the Market, The Alliance had face painting, crafts and a group painting that turned into a peach! We love their creativity, and can’t wait to see what they do next.

Horsing Around: No Thumbs Rescue

During our last market, you could see children riding atop horses throughout the property, and the special activity was brought to us by No Thumbs Rescue. No Thumbs Rescue has been a long-time partner with Wild Peach Market, bringing a variety of adoptable pets to the markets to hopefully make a connection with their forever family.

No Thumbs Rescue is lead by Kathleen Graham, whose dedication, love, and strength for every animal in her care is the heart of what she does. From cats to horses, Graham is passionate about giving animals a secind chance, and ultimately finding them a place to call home. No Thumbs Rescue is located in Wild Peach and is actively looking for volunteers.

Graham continues to fight for her rescue, and after visiting the rescue for ourselves, it is truly inspiring seeing how much she does for all of her friends with “No Thumbs”.

“These animals don’t have a voice… so we use ours.”

Snow White Gets a Spin

The Master’s Academy of Fine Arts Drama Group presented another amazing theater production, this time centered around the beloved fairytale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves”. This time, the prince isn’t the savior, but the Dwarves are, spinning a new tale each scene of what THEY say really happened. The audience laughed, smirked, and cheered for the young cast as they made their mark on the Peach Stage

March Sisters Steal the Show

The talented Mafa Drama Club presented snippets from Little Women during March’s Market, bringing a new aspect to our peach stage. We have always brought local vocalists to the Market, but this new theatrical addition is something special and close to our hearts, and we hope that all of our Peach Family will feel the same way.

Following the plot of Louisa May Alcott’s original novel, the play centered around the adventurous lives of The March Sister’s and the lessons they learn as they blossom into adulthood. Family, love, hardship and faith were the themes that made the book such a classic, and each student shined perfectly in their role and created a performance to remember.

Leah McKay Delivers Powerful Performance on Peach Stage

For the first time since founding Wild Peach Market, young vocalist Leah Mckay delivered powerful ballads Saturday night as the night began to soften. From popular hits to a few tunes of her own, McKay took the stage with grace, confidence and power. Her family and friends cheered her on from the crowd and smiled as she strummed her guitar and gave it all she had.

Ms. McKay has quite the range and already has music up and ready to stream on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Her voice has power and confidence, and we can’t wait to have her back on our peach stage! We encourage our peach family to show her some love and check out her newest singles, All The Things and Look at Me Now.

Vendor Highlight: Flying-G-Citrus

Going with the market theme of a “Garden Par-Tea Social”, Flying-G-Citrus showed up and showed out with their variety of plants at our recent market. You couldn’t help but take a stroll and ask “what plant is that again?”. There were plenty of beautiful, healthy trees ready to find a forever home, and we only hope that a few lucky market-goers were able to find their match!
